ZURICH, SWITZERLAND – DKSH’s Business Unit Performance Materials has become a member of the Rx-360 international pharmaceutical supply chain consortium, making it one of only a few chemical distribution companies in the consortium. Rx-360 is a non-profit organization with the mission to create and monitor a global quality system that meets the expectations of industry and regulators, thereby assuring patient safety by guaranteeing product quality and authenticity throughout the supply chain.

As an Rx-360 member, DKSH and its customers in the pharmaceutical industry benefit from being able to take part in both the joint audit program and the shared audit information, increasing the efficiency of supplier audits. The joint audit program allows different members to request an audit at a supplier’s site, thereby reducing the number of pharmaceutical audits. To perform the audit, only the most qualified third-party auditors are engaged, ensuring transparent and independent audit reports. In the shared audit program, Rx-360 member audit reports can be uploaded to a database, and once the supplier has agreed, the documents are accessible to all approved member companies. This sharing of information provides pharmaceutical companies verified, up-to-date information about specific suppliers of interest.
