BEACHWOOD, OH – Ardleigh Minerals Inc., a recycler for the aerospace and thermal spray industries based in Beachwood, OH, has developed a process to recycle spent sodium bicarbonate blast media.

The process converts spent bicarbonate, resulting from sodium bicarbonate (or soda) blasting, into a usable product meeting pollution-control standards. It utilizes the entire spent bicarbonate and no residues remain. Items using soda blasting include wheels, deswirlers, fuel nozzles and other component parts.

“A number of our customers have requested that we recycle bicarbonate for them,” said Ernest Q. Petrey Jr., Ardleigh’s Sales & Marketing Manager. “After several years of R&D, Ardleigh has developed a process that meets their needs.”

Materials can be shipped to Ardleigh in drums or bulk bags. After recycling, the company issues a certificate of recycling.
