ROSS Batch High-Shear Mixers equipped with Solids/Liquid Injection Manifold (SLIM) Technology deliver powders in an efficient manner for quick wet-out and complete dispersion into low-viscosity liquids.
A ROSS X-Series Inline Ultra-High-Shear Mixer model HSM-409XSHD-125 is a CIP-capable sanitary mixer featuring a type-316 stainless steel mixing chamber
The VersaMix model VMC-40 is designed for full vacuum operation and includes a three-wing anchor agitator with Teflon blades scraping the sidewalls and bottom surfaces of the vessel
VersaMix Model VM-600 is a 600-gal capacity, dual-shaft mixer designed for deep vacuum levels. The VM-600 creates a powerful suction that draws solids sub-surface, directly into the high-shear zone, minimizing agglomeration, floating powders and dusting.
Choosing the correct mixer for highway and road paint is critical to achieving the desired product consistency prior to application. Factors such as viscosity, solids content and mixing containers all play into the decision on which mixer is best suited for the task.
ROSS Inline SLIM High-Shear Mixers solve three processing steps with one machine. The close tolerance of the rotor and stator exposes 100% of liquid product to high shear and exerts a secondary pumping effect.
As coatings formulators respond to the demands of consumers and the opportunities provided by new technology, the mixing industry is doing its part to support any emerging innovations.
