Have you ever heard of the galvanic series and wondered what it is or how it affects you? Luke Stone, technical service engineer at Cortec Corp., recently shared valuable insights on the topic.
Corrosion under insulation (CUI) is a rising concern for the energy sector. A new standard test method may help reduce risk and protect steel integrity.
The anti-corrosion coating was used to coat the internal lining of three tanks, protecting them against aggressive, acidic substances. The tanks play an important role in the process of turning large amounts of shellfish byproduct into the bio-polymer chitosan.
Although it might seem inconvenient to update coatings systems that have not yet failed, now may be an ideal time for manufacturers to reassess their protective technologies and consider newer, more effective solutions in this strained energy sector.
Leveraging his extensive experience and expertise as a Senior Project Manager at Tnemec, Glenn Hauser will engage and empower students with advanced knowledge in corrosion prevention and protective coatings application.
The new product Improves anti-corrosion performance with lower chemical dosage and makes paint production more sustainable by adding a small amount of specially-developed graphene, an ultra-strong carbon nanomaterial.
In the coatings industry, achieving optimal anti-corrosion protection while being resource efficient can be a challenge. Learn about a new solution for achieving the highest anti-corrosion protection while minimizing material usage.
