The Rhopoint IQ-S provides key measurement of gloss, RSPEC (peak gloss value over a very narrow angle), reflectance haze, distinctness of image, reflected image quality and goniophotometric profile.
The spectrophotometer enables accurate color measurement of painted surfaces, plastic parts, packaging labels, automotive parts, furnishings and other manufactured goods. Measurements check the visual impression of the color, gloss level and effect of the surface texture.
Although gloss is a general accepted appearance criteria for quality control in many industries, recent revelations on gloss standards require us to rethink the way we consider the accuracy of our obtained results.
