Bayer MaterialScience has sold a part of its unsaturated polyester resins business to the Italian company Veneziani S.p.A. The products involved in the transaction are used primarily for the formulation of wood finishes, thus divesting Bayer MaterialScience of selected product grades that no longer fit in with its overall long-term portfolio.
BYK-Chemie GmbH has a new production location in Germany. BYK will be taking over the company grounds, plant and staff at the Kempen location (Lower Rhine) from the ALTANA subsidiary ELANTAS.
The Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT) has announced the results of the election of members to its Board of Directors. Paul Delmonico of Old Western Paint Co. Inc., Chris Harding of Waterlox Coatings and Robert Henderson of Lonza Inc. were elected to the Board for three-year terms.
