The Industrial Coatings Division of SICO, the largest manufacturer of architectural paint and industrial coatings in Canada, has won the 2004 Innovation Grand Prize from the Association of Manufacturers of Transport Equipment and Special Vehicles (AMETVS) at the Association's Excellence Gala, held in Montreal on November 18.

The U.S. EPA has approved an action removing the solvent ethylene glycol mono-butyl ether (EGBE) from the Clean Air Act's list of hazardous air pollutants, also known as air toxics. EGBE remains on the EPA's list of VOCs that must be reported under the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI).
