Specialty chemicals supplier Cognis has signed an agreement to sell its Pulcra Chemicals subsidiary to Germany-based Fashion Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG (Fashion Chemicals) for €26.3 million.

Ashland Inc. has announced it will buy Hercules Inc. The deal is valued at approximately $3.3 billion and is expected to close by the end of 2008.
