The acquisition of the specialty chemical distributor, active in both the life sciences and industrial chemicals segments in Colombia, represents a strategic expansion of the company's footprint, consistent with its growth objectives in the region.

Mastin will join the NAM Board to bolster the association’s leadership in policy advocacy, legal action, workforce solutions, operational excellence and news and insights. 

This strategic acquisition marks the culmination of the most active year on record for PSE in terms of mergers and acquisitions. Including Interbay, the company forged partnerships with eight distributors specializing in automotive refinish and specialty coatings products and services. 

Up until now, indexes used in the industry have either concentrated on specifics, such as raw materials and chemicals, or have been designed for use in other industries such as construction. Beckers Group has incorporated current indexes into a tailor-made index that will help the industry develop more sustainable products specifically for the coatings industry.

The EAB course will be held January 22-26 at the ChemQuest Technology Institute (CQTI) facilities in South Boston, Va. Beginning April 22, the more advanced EAS course will blend remote and in-person learning to provide participants with a combined virtual and hands-on opportunity.

Presented by the FOCUS Committee of the Detroit Society for Coatings Technology (DSCT), the conference will take place on Thursday, April 18th, 2024 in Livonia, Michigan. The submission deadline for abstracts is January 29th, 2024, and the notification of acceptance is expected on February 16th, 2024.

The letter urges the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee to tie important conditions to the authority to allow the transport of hazardous materials by Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization.

The two partners signed an agreement to continue their research collaboration at the Catalysis Research Laboratory until 2028. Since the founding of the laboratory in 2006, more than 100 employees from 34 countries have been involved in the development of new processes for homogeneous catalysis and organic synthesis.
