The 10th annual international conference, Global
Outlook for Carbon Fiber 2007, sponsored by IntertechPira, will be held October
23-25, 2007, at the Hilton San Diego Resort Hotel in San Diego.
While
current use is limited (demand in 2006 totaled less than $20 million in the
United States), the market for nanomaterials used in construction is projected
to reach $100 million in 2011 and approach $1.75 billion by 2025.
IntertechPira
has announced new dates for High Performance Pigments 2007. The conference is
now scheduled for November 12-14 at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel, Louisville, KY.
Subcommittee G02.10 on Erosion by Solids and Liquids, part of ASTM
International Committee G02 on Wear and Erosion, is interested in hearing from
anyone who uses cavitation erosion testing in their work.
PRA is offering a new course entitled, Understanding
the Wet & Dry Properties of Coatings. It will be taught November 27-28,
2007, at PRA’s premises in Hampton (West London), UK.

Marriot Charleston, in Charleston, SC.
Industrial
Coatings Research Boundaries, a technical symposium hosted by the Philadelphia
Society of Coatings Technology, will be held on October 11, 2007, at the
Williamson Inn, Horsham, PA.
A record number of visitors from 48 different
countries attended the Asia Pacific Coatings Show 2007 held July 6-8 at the
Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Thailand.
