The
Center for the Polyurethanes Industry has
issued a call for entries for the 2007 Polyurethane “Innovation Award”
nominations and also has changed this year’s award program’s three categories
to Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Product.
A
new venture, formed by a special licensing agreement signed with Rutgers
University, has been launched to commercialize and market a green technology
being developed by Rutgers’ Center for Advanced Materials via Immiscible
Polymer Processing (AMIPP).
The 10th International Coatings for Plastics
Symposium, hosted by Paint & Coatings Industry magazine, will be
held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago, June 13-15, 2007.

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is
pleased with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) budget
request for fiscal year 2008 of $490.3 million and intends to support it in its
efforts to achieve funding levels from Congress.
