Countdown to Innovation at Coatings Trends & Technologies

Our Coatings Trends & Technologies Summit is just a few short weeks away (September 3-5), and our team is hard at work making final preparations. I am excited about our agenda this year, which includes four pre-event short courses, 64 technical presentations, a panel discussion on Real-World Successes in AI-Enabled Coatings Innovation, a packed exhibit hall of vendors who will share their latest technologies and products, and two receptions where attendees can enjoy food, drinks and networking.

Whether your lab is working on pigment dispersion, optimizing rheology, corrosion control, or other high-performance demands, there are technical sessions geared for you. Here is a snapshot of just a few of our sessions:

• Hybrid Mineral Matting Aid for Sustainable Powder Coating Applications
• Waterborne Alkyds as a New Sustainable Coating Approach
• Boosting Sustainability in Coatings with Bio-Based and Biodegradable Additives
• Innovative Block Additives: A Sustainable Solution to PFAS in Coatings
• Future-Proofing Corrosion Control
• Developments in Aluminum Flake Technology for Chrome Replacement in Water-Based Coating Systems
• Assessment of a Sustainable White Pigment Alternative for Cool Roof and DTM Coatings
• Revolutionizing Coatings with Advanced Multifunctional Technologies
• N-Butylpyrrolidone (NBP) as a Green Solvent to Replace N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) in Industrial Coating Applications
• Low-Viscosity Polycaprolactone Polyols for Performance and Sustainability

We’ll be featuring more than just chemistry. Some of our sessions address PFAS regulations, using AI to accelerate coatings development and transform technical sales, challenges in scaling up your operations, the hazards of static electricity, regulatory shifts, raw material disruption, and more. Some of these presentations include:

• Safety Data Sheet Authoring Made Easy - Streamline SDS Authoring and Distribution Tasks
• Crawl, Walk, Run - How to Successfully Deploy AI in the Lab
• Innovate with Confidence: Risk Mitigation Strategies for Coatings and Adhesives Suppliers
• Innovative Solutions: Replacing PFAS in Coatings for a Sustainable Future
• Closing the Expertise Gap: How GenAI is Transforming Technical Sales in Paints and Coatings
• Scale Up: Common Challenges and How to Address Them
• Sustainable Laser Technology for the Coatings Industry
