DOWNERS GROVE, IL/WAXHAW, NC - Univar USA Inc., a distributor of basic chemicals, specialty products, and related chemistry services, has acquired all of the outstanding stock of Key Chemical Inc., one of the largest suppliers of hydrofluosilicic acid (fluoride) in the United States. Key Chemical also supplies other chemistries to the municipal water, industrial, and oil and gas markets. The acquired business will be combined with Univar USA's operations.
