CLEVELAND - The Lubrizol Corp.'s Performance Coatings business announced the addition of new hyperdispersant capacity at its Huddersfield, UK, facility. The new capacity will be used for the manufacture of Solsperse^® hyperdispersants, high-quality additives that improve pigment dispersion in demanding coatings and digital inks applications.

"Our investment in this new manufacturing capacity emphasizes our commitment to bring high-value dispersant chemistry to both the European and the global market," said Tom Keir, Lubrizol Director of Product Management. "The installation of this new capacity was necessary to meet increasing demand for our existing portfolio of dispersants and also support the commercialization of new Solsperse hyperdispersant technologies for digital inks and aqueous-based applications."

The efficiency and operational flexibility benefits offered by this added capacity will enable Lubrizol to provide customers with a diversity of options to meet their dispersant needs. The new capacity also adds even greater supply reliability for Europe and throughout the rest of the world.
