Q-Lab Technical Marketing Specialist Appointed Vice Chair of ISO Standards Committee
WESTLAKE, OH – Weathering testing company Q-Lab announced that Sean Fowler, a Technical Marketing Specialist at the company, was recently appointed Vice Chairman of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group of TC156 for ISO. This group focuses on the corrosion of metals and alloys.
Some of the corrosion standards covered by this committee include ISO 9227 (corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres – salt spray tests) and ISO 16701 (accelerated corrosion in an alternating conditions of controlled humidity and salt spray).
Fowler has worked with ISO, ASTM and other standards committees for many years. In his current position as a Technical Marketing Specialist at Q-Lab,, he helps customers utilize weathering and corrosion testing technology to solve their product durability concerns. Fowler was also instrumental in the development of Q-Lab’s new Q-FOG CRH corrosion chamber, which represents a breakthrough in price-performance for corrosion testers requiring RH control.
