GREENWOOD, IN - American Industrial Corp. (AIC) has purchased the business assets of Harrison Industrial Technologies Inc. of Fairfield, OH. AIC's Mark Shriver, commented, "We believe the acquisition of HIT fits very well within our core business, and the addition of their customer base to the AIC family will significantly enhance our distributed product and engineered system opportunities within the tri-state area." HIT's Fairfield, OH, operation will be closed and all related inside sales, shipping and service support will be handled from AIC's Greenwood, IN, facility.

Harrison Industrial Technologies began doing business in 1917 as Harrison Tire and Rubber Co., selling tires and DeVilbiss equipment. After purchasing the company in 1978, Dick Hellmer and his family added strategic product lines to grow the company into a highly respected finishing equipment distributor/system integrator with loyal customers throughout the tri-state area.

Established in 1969, AIC is a Midwest supplier of engineered systems, equipment, accessories, service and spare parts for the application of liquid and powder coatings as well as sealant and adhesive materials.
