Evonik Industries Appoints New COO
ESSEN, Germany - At its meeting on June 25, 2015, the Supervisory Board of Evonik Industries AG ended the term of office of Patrik Wohlhauser as a member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Wohlhauser left the company on June 30, 2015. At the same time, Ralph Sven Kaufmann was appointed to the company’s Executive Board as the new COO beginning July 1, 2015.
Wohlhauser had been a member of the Executive Board of Evonik Industries AG since April 1, 2011 and took on responsibility for the chemical operations as COO on January 1, 2014.
Kaufmann has been a managing partner of SCOPEIN Management Consultants in Düsseldorf, Germany, since 2001, where he advised many companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, including Evonik, on optimizing their operational efficiency and business portfolio.
Werner Müller, Chairman of Evonik's Supervisory Board, said that Wohlhauser left the company on amicable terms.
