The new TEGO Rad 2330 is designed for use in a wide range of inks and varnish applications as well as clear and pigmented wood coatings.

Sabo is a manufacturer of light stabilizers that relies on TAA derivatives as a raw material. The transaction was announced in mid-October, and the closing took place on December 29, 2022. The company says it is taking this step to focus its portfolio on specialty chemicals.

Spherical silica EXP 0002-1 is characterized by a particularly small particle size, and is suitable for architectural paints, as well as waterborne, deep-matte, and silk-gloss wood coatings. The silica helps extend the durability of a coating by improving its scratch and abrasion resistance. At the same time, the silica provides a matte or silk-gloss appearance to meet customers' aesthetic requirements.

TEGO^® Powder Aid D01 makes the formulation easier to disperse during extrusion by promoting pigment wetting, and effectively reducing melt viscosity. The lower melt viscosity also leads to better degassing, which aids flow and leveling as the formulation cures and prevents pinholes in the coating.

The defoamer focuses on a minimized environmental impact and a maximized handprint by enabling formulators to develop high-performance and low-VOC, environmentally friendly waterborne formulations. It does not contain biocides, nor does it require SVHC labeling, and can be used in formulations complying with current standards.

Evonik has developed a new line of tailor-made feedstocks, TEGO^® Therm, that substantially improve the performance of thermal insulation coatings (TICs).

Specially designed for radiation-cured wood coatings, the new deaerator, TEGO® Airex 923, is a highly compatible, 100%-active organic polymer that shows improved efficiency.

Evonik's Coating Additives business line has developed a new tool for the digital analysis of coated test samples: COATINO® Defect Detection (CDD), that precisely and objectively detects and evaluates coating defects.
