Evonik Earns EcoVadis Gold Rating for Sustainability
Evonik received a Gold rating from EcoVadis, placing the company among the top five percent of organizations assessed worldwide for sustainability performance. The recognition highlights Evonik’s leadership in environmental management, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
“The Gold rating is a strong signal of our consistent commitment to sustainability,” said Thomas Wessel, chief human resources officer and labor director at Evonik. “This rating clearly demonstrates what we can achieve when we live and shape sustainability together.”
EcoVadis evaluates companies based on internal data and publicly available information, with growing emphasis on transparency, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.
“Sustainability is a continuous improvement process that we actively shape together with our stakeholders,” said Ralf Düssel, head of sustainability at Evonik. “We are working to optimize our own processes while maximizing the positive impact of our products in our customers’ applications.”
Evonik is a founding member of Together for Sustainability (TfS), an industry initiative that promotes standardized sustainability assessments and audits across the global chemical supply chain. The renewed Gold rating reinforces Evonik’s commitment to responsible sourcing, transparency and collaboration across its supplier network.
