Protech/Oxyplast Buys Thermoplastic Powder Coatings Business
MONTREAL - The Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal, Canada, has reached an agreement to purchase the thermoplastic powder coatings business and assets of Union City Industries (UCI) of Union City, MI. The transaction is expected to close by mid-October 2015.
UCI has been providing PVC powder coatings to its clients for many years. The company's principle, Ben Chard, commented, “We are looking forward to joining the Protech family to grow the thermoplastics powder business together. We are excited about the products and capabilities that Protech can offer our long-standing customers”.
Protech will integrate the UCI powder manufacturing operations into its own organization. Current customers of UCI will continue to be able to obtain the products they are currently purchasing and will now have access to Protech's worldwide network of products and technology.
