The Shepherd Color Company is showcasing a wide range of high-performance complex inorganic color pigments used in the coatings industry at Booth 2084. These pigments are an extraordinary class of traditional metal oxide materials that offer stable, long-lasting color for many applications. Also, they have unbeatable weatherability, heat and chemical resistance, are nonwarping and easy to disperse.

Featured at the booth are Dynamix stir-in pigments (www.dynamixpigments.com) and Arctic infrared reflective pigments, which mitigate solar-induced heat build-up (www.arcticpigments.com).

Building on Shepherd Color’s expertise in color, Shepherd Technologies (ST) has created a four-color set of color preparations for digital printing inks. Ink Ready Dispersions (IRDs) are inorganic pigment preparations. Delivered as dry color, they are over 90% pigment content. They can be used to create a wide range of digital inks and thin films using minimal dispersion work. The normally difficult-to-disperse inorganic pigments are formatted to achieve digital size with the same grinding used for organic pigmented inks.
