TROY, MI - The Detroit Society for Coatings Technology (DSCT) announced that Student Posters will again be part of FOCUS 2016. The event will have nine technical posters and three design projects from students in the new MFA Color and Materials program at College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit. 

DSCT is very excited about CCS’ Color and Materials Program because it aligns so closely with paint technology.

Last year’s inaugural post-FOCUS reception received a lot of positive feedback, and it returns this year with a Cinco de Mayo theme. Axalta Coating Systems is sponsoring this year’s Cinco de Mayo reception. 

FOCUS 2016 will be held Thursday, May 5 at the MSU Center in Troy, MI. Michael McKee and Daniel Chojnowski of Howard and Howard will present a keynote talk on formulation patents. The event will offer two concurrent tracks featuring expert speakers on the leading edge of coatings technology. It will also feature exhibitor tables from industry suppliers. Networking opportunities will be offered throughout the day.
