W. CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — ASTM International has published the 5^th Edition of “ASTM Standards on Materials and Environmental Microbiology.” The subscription-only compilation provides 150 micriobiological standards in one collection, covering standards from 24 committees and 27 volumes of the “ASTM Book of Standards.”

Developed in cooperation with Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents, the compilation includes access via MyASTM or Compass subscription and includes historical, withdrawn, and redline versions of the standards related to:  general and microscopic methodology; methods to detect specific microorganisms; human contact and public health; water and food; materials and process protection by preservative or biocide use; microbiological contamination, biodeterioration and biodegradability assessment; and biotechnology and cell biology.
