LONDON – Admaterials Technologies Pte Ltd. (Admaterials Technologies) has signed a one-year contract with Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) to conduct innovative research on the effectiveness of different coatings systems on the protection of critical concrete structures. Admaterials Technologies is part of Exova Group Ltd., which was recently acquired by Element Materials Technology (Element) to create one world-class global testing services partner.

The research will see Element apply a newly conceived accelerated corrosion test that utilizes a linear polarization resistance probe, designed entirely in-house, to monitor the corrosion rate. The resulting research report will look at how well different coatings protect the concrete and recommend the system with the best performance. These results will help support the client with maintenance of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) tunnels in Singapore.
