CHARLOTTE, NC — Organizers of UTECH North America 2018, the independent polyurethanes conference and trade show, announced an awards program to recognize star performers and trendsetters in the polyurethanes industry. Open to industry professionals based in North America, award winners will be selected by an independent panel and recognized at a special ceremony during UTECH North America, Sept. 11-13, 2018, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The UTECH North America Awards Program consists of two award types. The Newsmaker of the Year Award will recognize one individual who has contributed significantly to the North American polyurethanes industry in 2017 or 2018. Contributions can consist of business enhancements, environmental or sustainability improvements, or philanthropic efforts within the industry or their local communities. Nominees must be executives based in North America who work in the polyurethanes industry. The Rising Stars Awards will be presented to five emerging leaders who are making a difference in the industry. Nominees for the Rising Stars Awards must be ages 40 and younger as of Dec. 31, 2018, based in North America and have worked in the polyurethanes industry for three years or more.

Individuals can nominate themselves or someone they know for either award through the UTECH North America website. Click here to nominate a Newsmaker of the Year and here to nominate a Rising Star. Nominations must be received by July 15, 2018. All winners will be notified by July 30, 2018.
