COLUMBUS, GA – Stepan Co. announced a capacity expansion of its facility in Columbus, Georgia. The expansion will add an additional 20% of polyester resin manufacturing output to the existing manufacturing capabilities, and will allow the company to continue to meet the growing market needs of the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) industries.

"This move reflects our commitment to supply the highest quality products with continued reliability and service,” said Sean Moriarty, Vice President and General Manager, Polymers. “Our Columbus site is an important part of Stepan's global manufacturing network that includes facilities in Germany, Poland and China, and this expansion will allow us to meet our growing customers' demands."

The company has operated a liquid and solid polyester resin facility in Columbus since the site was acquired from Bayer MaterialSciences in 2013.
