Mexico Buildings are Coated to Last
Some of Mexico’s largest commercial properties are being built and refurbished for the ages with the help of Textured Coatings of America, Inc.
Continuing its international expansion, the Los Angeles, California-based Textured Coatings of America, Inc. is working with the Monterrey, Mexico-based KALOS on a wide variety of new construction and maintenance projects. KALOS is one of the largest commercial property developers in Mexico.
KALOS has elected to use the full suite of TEX•COTE® products for its massive new industrial parks. The sprawling projects incorporate KALOS’ preferred method of construction, which is concrete tilt-up wall construction. In concrete tilt-up wall construction, the walls are poured flat on the ground and then lifted to their final upright position. All interior exposed steel is being primed with TEX•COTE METAL-PRIME™ PRIMER, then coated with TEX•COTE COOLWALL® SUPER-COTE™ in Bright White to provide a clean white high-gloss finish.
The exterior walls are coated with patented TEX•COTE COOLWALL SUPER-COTE, while the exterior metal is finished with the TEX•COTE REFLECT-TEC® heat-reflective roof and metal wall coating system, to reduce cooling costs and maintain a trouble-free, fade-resistant appearance for years to come.
To increase impact and chemical resistance, many surfaces are finished with TEX•COTE CLEAR-GARD™, a two-component polyurethane top coat.
In addition to ongoing new construction, KALOS is now beginning to recoat millions of square feet of existing commercial buildings with these same products.
