Oxiteno Becomes a Member of the American Chemistry Council
PASADENA, Texas — Oxiteno has joined the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the leading trade association representing the U.S. chemical industry. The company decided to apply to further engage with the U.S chemical business. Oxiteno recently opened of its first plant in Pasadena, Texas. This new unit was planned to serve primarily U.S. customers and along with plants in Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela position Oxiteno as a main producer of ethoxylates and surfactants in the Americas.
“As membership in ACC, the chemical companies are members around the areas of government advocacy, safety and environmental best practices. In addition to this, we were particularly interested in the ACC’s expanded work around sustainability, which has been an area of focus of our company for the past several years,” said Timothy Madden, Chief Operating Officer of Oxiteno in the United States.
