ULSAN, South Korea – Songwon International-Americas Inc. has signed an exclusive agreement with a new distribution network in the United States, which includes Trans Western Chemicals (West Coast), Chem-Materials (Midwest/Southeast) and Callahan Chemical Co. (Northeast). Now fully operational, the network is supplying SONGWON’s complete line of UV absorbers, HALS, photoinitiators and antioxidants for the coatings, inks and related markets in the respective regions within the United States.

Trans Western Chemicals, founded in 1981 and based in Southern California, is a specialty chemicals raw material supplier offering advanced solutions to customers in a variety of markets. “This new relationship with SONGWON builds on our commitment to supply our customers with quality and technically innovative products,” said John Kirsch, Vice President of Operations at Trans Western Chemicals.

Chem-Materials is a chemical raw materials supplier providing technical service and quality products to numerous manufacturing industries. “SONGWON’s exceptional portfolio of products for the industry combined with Chem-Materials’ technical sales approach on a relationship level will lead to new business opportunities and strong growth for both companies. Callahan Chemical Co., a family owned, independent chemical distributor, has enjoyed sustained growth in the coating market, offering products, technical support and service during its 61-year footprint in the eastern United States. “Callahan Chemical is working closely together with SONGWON to ensure that purchasers’ needs are met. The new distribution network has been set up to cater for SONGWON’s expansion in the United States and enhance its supply and technical services.
