MicroCare Names Director of Manufacturing
NEW BRITAIN, CT — MicroCare LLC announced the appointment of Brian Donnelly as the new Director of Manufacturing to oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing group. The newly established position of Director of Manufacturing will see Donnelly lead multiple manufacturing teams located across several MicroCare facilities. He will ensure colleagues successfully meet the goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Donnelly is an experienced production specialist with a proven track record in the sector, having spent his 20-year career across several manufacturing industries. These include consumer beverages, tire manufacturing, magnet wire/nonferrous metals and most recently overseeing high-volume latex processing. He has led large teams in all aspects of manufacturing where he has worked to improve effectiveness and employee engagement.
Donnelly is looking forward to his future at MicroCare. "I am excited to join the MicroCare team. The team has been very welcoming and open to new ideas about how we can drive Excellence in Manufacturing. Everyone understands the potential of what we can achieve as a business, and is an active participant in turning that opportunity into a reality," he said.
Another responsibility for Donnelly is to focus on the professional development of MicroCare manufacturing technicians, specialists, leads and supervisors to encourage career growth. With experience in driving operational excellence through advanced production process techniques including Lean and Six Sigma, Donnelly will play an active role in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within all manufacturing facilities at MicroCare.
Donnelly earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Purdue University and is certified as a Green Belt in Six Sigma.
