Chemours Titanium Technologies Recognizes Excellence in Transportation to Customers
WILMINGTON, DE – The Chemours Co. recently announced the winners of its first annual Carrier of the Year Award. Marten Transport received the Platinum award, and Freightworks Transportation & Logistics was recognized with the Gold award.
The Carrier of the Year Award recognizes excellence in transportation of Ti-Pure™ titanium dioxide (TiO2) to Chemours customers. The Titanium Technologies procurement and logistics teams, with support from CLX Logistics, developed a consistent set of criteria to evaluate top North American carriers by load counts. Carriers were evaluated based on 2020 to 2021 rate of on-time pickup and delivery, customer service, and ease of doing business, among other metrics.
Marten Transport, a U.S.-based transportation company, was named North American Platinum Carrier of the Year boasting more than a 99% on-time pick-up rate. Freightworks Transportation & Logistics, a U.S.-based transportation company, was named as North American Gold Carrier of the Year with an on-time delivery rate of over 98%. Across metrics, both companies preformed strongly, showcasing reliability and dependability. Both carriers also provided exemplary communication to both Chemours and its customers about the status of loads.
“The past year was filled with more uncertainty and supply chain disruptions than I have experienced in my entire career,” said Ed Sparks, President of Titanium Technologies and Chemical Solutions at Chemours. “Marten and Freightworks both went above and beyond to support our business and its customers, showcasing what true partnership and customer-centricity look like. I want to personally thank them for helping us deliver for our customers and I look forward to continuing to partner with them to support our customers in 2022 and beyond.”
