CRAIG, CO – Rocky Mountain Finishes, a provider of high-quality interior and exterior pre-finishes, has opened a new pre-finishing operation in Craig, Colorado. An extensive building remodel was undertaken and an automated Deimco finishing system purchased to support the continued growth of Rocky Mountain Finishes. 

Ryan Hass, Vice President and COO of Rocky Mountain Finishes, said, “We are excited to begin this new venture in Craig. The finishing line we’ve purchased will allow us to automatically pre-stain and pre-paint lineal products up to 12” wide and up to 20’ long. We believe it will be a great resource for our team and customers for years to come.”

Prior to co-founding Rocky Mountain Finishes, Hass was responsible for the design and implementation of the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls of Deimco’s automated systems as a Senior Controls Technician. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in agricultural studies from Iowa State University in May of 2020.

Jacob Shirar, President and CEO of Rocky Mountain Finishes, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University in May of 2018. Before beginning this venture with Hass, Shirar worked as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Deimco. Hass was tasked with overseeing day-to-day sales, continually assessing marketing techniques, and cultivating and deepening client relationships and partnerships.

Rocky Mountain Finishes’ new equipment will allow the company to serve customer’s needs throughout North America. Pre-finished moulding, millwork, siding and more will be available in more than 2,000 custom colors. The facility modifications are nearing completion, and Rocky Mountain Finishes will be open for business on Jan. 24, 2022.
