AMSTERDAM — Nouryon recently recognized a number of its top global partners through its inaugural 2021 Supplier of the Year Awards event held in Barcelona, Spain. The awards highlighted global suppliers that distinguished themselves by exceeding Nouryon’s expectations in three categories: Sustainability, Supplier Reliability, and Special Event Support. Award recipients were recommended to executive leadership by Nouryon’s global Procurement team in close collaboration with the company’s commercial, logistics and manufacturing teams.

“Through another year of pandemic-related challenges, our suppliers have exhibited extraordinary resilience, reliability, and commitment to a sustainable future,” said Charlie Shaver, Nouryon Chairman and CEO. “We are pleased with what we have accomplished together in the last year and look forward to the opportunities ahead.”

The Sustainability award recognizes suppliers who share and support Nouryon’s high sustainability standards as measured in the EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform. SAP, BASF and Eurotainer received this award.

Emerson, INEOS and Den Hartogh received the Supplier Reliability. Award recipients were recognized for exceptional supply reliability, collaboration and close partnership with Nouryon while facing a challenging supply and demand environment.

Recipients of the Special Event Support included Thermo Fisher, Greif and Maersk. The award recognizes suppliers for their outstanding flexibility and creativity in navigating various unforeseen supply challenges as well as strong and transparent communications with Nouryon.
