BASF Names ColorSource Distributor of the Year Award Winner

SOUTHFIELD, MI – Auto and Marine Finishes (AMF) won the BASF ColorSource Automotive Refinish 2021 Distributor of the Year award at BASF’s annual ColorSource conference held in April 2022 in Tampa, Florida.
“Auto and Marine Finishes (AMF) has been an extremely strong partner for BASF in southwest Florida and southwestern Illinois since joining the ColorSource program in 2017,” said Justin Davis, Manager of Sales Excellence for BASF Refinish. “In 2021, AMF not only went above and beyond to support their current customers through the COVID-19 reopening, but also aggressively grew their market share position by maintaining a customer-first approach and leveraging BASF’s best-in-class products to win with new customers in the marketplace. We’re extremely fortunate to have the partnership we have with AMF.”
Since joining the ColorSource program in 2017, AMF has seen rapid growth, leveraging a strong reputation throughout their various markets of providing impeccable customer support to continually grow their market share. “We’re extremely proud to have received this award,” said Chris McDevitt, co-owner of AMF. “All the credit is due to our amazing team that sets out each day to couple BASF’s best-in-class refinish products with our unparalleled service and support in order to continually exceed our customers’ expectations.”
The ColorSource Diamond Elite Award was also presented to distributors with three or more years of consecutive growth:
- Auto & Marine Finishes – four consecutive years;
- Automotive Painting Supplies – three consecutive years;
- Central Paint Solutions – three consecutive years;
- Finish Solutions – four consecutive years; and
- Matthew’s Auto Supplies – five consecutive years.
The ColorSource Distributor of the Year is selected based on six independently rated criteria that are designed to measure the holistic success of each ColorSource member.
