One of the United Kingdom’s most historic paint and coating specialists, whose products are used across the Royal Household, has paid its own tribute to Her Majesty The Queen.

Abubaker Sheibani, group chief executive of T&R Williamson, one of fewer than 800 companies worldwide to hold the prestigious Royal Warrant, said, “Everyone connected to T&R Williamson, as well its sister company, Thomas Howse, is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty, and we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family. She touched all our lives during her unprecedented 70-year reign. She symbolized Britain – a fantastic lady who had time for everyone. She was the one constant in a world of change, guiding the nation through unprecedented challenges and crises – as well as leading some famous celebrations.

“It was the proudest moment in T&R Williamson’s history, which dates almost 250 years, to be presented with the Royal Warrant in 2011 for supplying the Royal Mews and Royal Carriages. To commemorate her jubilee this summer, we were thrilled to be invited to turn one of the UK’s most famous steam locomotives, the Taw Valley, into platinum purple to mark the occasion.

“Extending our Royal connection in this way was a fitting and truly memorable event to commemorate Her Majesty becoming the first British Monarch in history to reign for 70 years. The world will never see the like of her again.”
