In its General Assembly in Madrid, Spain, Eurocolour, the European umbrella organization of the manufacturers of colorants, pigments, dyes, fillers, and products for ceramic decoration, elected a new presidential board. Stefan Sütterlin, Sun Chemical Colors & Effects GmbH, will serve as president and Paco Nácher, Fritta SLU, as vice president. The association’s activities currently focus on the regulation of nanomaterials in consumer products, the regulation of food contact materials such as plastics and ceramics, and the EU Commission's Green Deal. The planned revision of chemicals legislation and new environmental and sustainability requirements are having a major impact on its members.

"Combined with the general economic outlook, which continues to point towards recession, the regulatory burden created by the Commission's Green Deal activities is a major challenge for European manufacturers,” said Sütterlin.
