The 48th annual FOCUS conference will take place on Thursday, April 18th, 2024.  This year’s theme “Emerging Challenges, Sustainable Solutions” will include topics on sustainability, innovations in coating chemistries, automation, color, and specialty effects.  The conference will be held in-person at Laurel Manor in Livonia, MI.  For those unable to travel, a virtual option will also be available.

Presented by the FOCUS Committee of the Detroit Society for Coatings Technology (DSCT), this conference is a staple for paint and coatings professionals in Southeast Michigan and beyond.  It is a great opportunity for global experts and leaders in the automotive paint and coatings industry to discuss the latest challenges and developments.  Members of academia are invited to present their latest research in this industry in a student poster competition.  A coatings products showcase includes a wide range of exhibitors and multiple networking opportunities.  Registration includes a dual track of technical presentations as well as two special supplier-sponsored tutorial options.

If you are interested in attending a tutorial, reserve your spot during the registration process by first selecting your ticket type and then choosing the “add-on” option for which tutorial you would like to attend.  These tutorials will not be livestreamed or recorded, and spots are limited.

AM Tutorial: Thin Film Zirconium Pretreatment (Henkel)

PM Tutorial: UV/EB in the Automotive Market Space (Allnex) & UV Curable Coatings:  Why and Where They Fit in the Automotive Sector (Red Spot)
