PPG Wins Caterpillar Supplier Excellence Award for First Time

PPG announced that it has won the Caterpillar Supplier Excellence Award 2024 from Caterpillar Inc. Caterpillar’s procurement leadership presented the award at its Supplier Excellence Recognition event held in Grapevine, Texas, on Sept. 19. Invitations to the event are extended to the top 4% of Caterpillar suppliers globally.
With its global presence across multiple industries, this award recognizes PPG’s excellence in meeting customer commitments. The top-performing suppliers met or exceeded rigorous standards and achieved world-class certification levels under Caterpillar’s Supplier Excellence program from May 2023 through June 2024.
“Caterpillar’s ability to manufacture depends on the strength, efficiency, and effectiveness of the entire supply network,” said Pam Heminger, senior vice president for the Strategic Procurement and Planning Division, at the ceremony. “Our customers build a better, more sustainable world when our supply network helps ensure we provide the products they need at the right time, place, and cost.”
