Covestro has appointed Monique Buch as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective June 1, 2025. Buch will succeed Sucheta Govil, who has served as Covestro’s CCO since 2019. Govil’s current term is set to end on July 31, 2025.
In her new role, Buch will be responsible for Covestro’s Solutions & Specialties segment. This includes overseeing the company’s six business entities and its supply chain centers in the three major regions.
Buch brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having previously served as Executive Vice President Nonwoven at Lenzing AG. She has also held various executive roles at international B2B companies, including Freudenberg Performance Materials and Owens Corning.
Covestro’s Supervisory Board is confident in Buch’s ability to lead the company’s commercial operations. Dr. Richard Pott, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, praised Buch’s experience and international perspective.
“Monique Buch is an experienced B2B commercial executive with a strong international footprint. With her background in building sustainable, market-leading businesses she will be an ideal successor to Sucheta Govil in the Board of Management and will continue to shape the future of Covestro,” Pott said.
Buch is eager to join Covestro and contribute to the company’s ongoing transformation.
“I am very much looking forward to join the transformation journey by driving profitable growth, along with the whole Covestro team and my new colleagues on the Managing Board,” Buch said.
Buch holds a degree in industrial engineering and management from a university in the Netherlands.
