Sherwin-Williams General Industrial will showcase coatings solutions designed to enhance efficiency and production in the commercial vehicle industry at Work Truck Week 2025, taking place March 4-7 in Indianapolis. The company will highlight real-world examples of how its coatings technologies have helped manufacturers optimize finishing processes, reduce costs, and increase capacity.
One work truck manufacturer, seeking to scale production for a new contract, collaborated with Sherwin-Williams to improve paint line efficiency. By streamlining steps, adopting a polyurethane paint system, and optimizing masking, the company reduced finishing costs per unit to a quarter of the original spend and increased potential output from one to four units per shift—translating to over $600,000 in projected monthly revenue gains.
“Driving a real impact requires a partnership—a deep understanding of the customer’s operations and a shared commitment to continuous improvement,” said Kirk Lipes, global business director of transportation at Sherwin-Williams. “By going beyond the traditional supplier relationship, we’re able to transform our customers’ finishing lines, eliminating bottlenecks and creating efficiencies that result in significant savings.”
Sherwin-Williams will showcase its liquid, powder, and electrocoat technologies at Booth 4125 during Work Truck Week. Attendees can explore the company’s full line of work truck coatings, including Duraspar Industrial Performance (IP), Genesis, and Powdura OneCure, and learn how these solutions can improve finishing operations and profitability.
