Perstorp and BRB, subsidiaries of PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), inaugurated a new specialty chemicals innovation hub in Shanghai, China, on April 17. The advanced laboratory is designed to provide enhanced technical support across Asia and strengthen customer collaboration in the region.

The new facility will support application development and technical services in key segments, including synthetic lubricants, thermal management fluids, personal care, coating solutions, and the silicones and intermediates business. It is one of several initiatives aimed at expanding PCG’s innovation capabilities along the value chain.

The inauguration brought together representatives from the market segments the new lab will serve and marks a key milestone in PCG’s regional innovation strategy.
