HydroGraph Clean Power Inc. announced a strategic agreement with a North American industrial gas supplier and initiated plans for a new production facility in Texas. The developments support the company’s scale-up of pristine graphene manufacturing using its patented detonation synthesis process.
The agreement includes long-term access to high-purity acetylene, a critical feedstock used in HydroGraph’s graphene production technology. The consistent, high-quality supply is expected to support expanded output while maintaining product quality standards.
“To produce the world’s best graphene, we need the world’s best inputs,” said Kjirstin Breure, president and CEO of HydroGraph. “This relationship secures us with large volumes of high-purity acetylene—an essential step in scaling production while maintaining the exceptional purity our customers rely on.”
HydroGraph also announced that the planning phase has begun for a new production facility in Texas, outlined in a letter of intent signed April 24. The site is expected to be operational in 2026 and will initially house 15 Hyperion reactors designed to scale modularly with demand.
“These plans mark a cornerstone in our expansion strategy,” Breure added. “The facility will expand our manufacturing capabilities and help us meet growing customer needs across coatings, composites, lubricants, and energy storage sectors.”
The announcement follows several recent milestones, including ISO 9001:2015 certification, the launch of advanced graphene dispersions with NEI Corporation, and testing that demonstrated performance benefits of its fractal graphene in polyurethane coatings.
