AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings announced its Aerodur basecoat/clearcoat system was featured in Alaska Airlines’ newest Disney-themed aircraft, the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer. The Boeing 737-800 livery, painted by IAC Spokane, uses 19 custom colors to depict characters from The Princess and the Frog, including Princess Tiana, Louis the Alligator, and Mama Odie.
The detailed artwork, revealed at Portland International Airport, took more than 2,000 hours to complete. AkzoNobel supported the project with its color expertise and technical guidance. The livery joins three other Alaska Airlines aircraft painted with AkzoNobel coatings.
