PPG announced the U.S. launch of new clearcoat products designed for both value-focused and premium collision repair segments. The new solutions aim to improve productivity, meet regulatory requirements, and reduce energy use in automotive refinish shops.
The PPG Super Value SC300 Series offers an economical, acrylic urethane clearcoat solution with fast-drying capabilities and consistent performance. Versions are available that comply with the U.S. EPA National Rule as well as stricter VOC regulations, such as California’s Rule 2.1. The product can be cured with air or baking methods, making it versatile for high-volume operations.
The PPG Deltron NXT DC7020 Premium Glamour Speed Clearcoat is formulated for speed and efficiency. It delivers a high-gloss finish with a bake time of just five minutes at 140 °F or under 60 minutes at room temperature. The product is compatible with PPG Envirobase High Performance waterborne and PPG Deltron NXT solventborne basecoats, helping bodyshops reduce energy consumption while maintaining quality.
“These two launches highlight our ability to meet evolving customer needs while continuing to lead the industry in innovation and service,” said Nicole Sinclair, segment director, Collision and Allied Products, Automotive Refinish.
