Hempel announced it received a Bronze medal in its 2025 EcoVadis assessment—its highest rating to date. The company scored 63 points, a 10-point increase over 2024, and now ranks among the top 35% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis is an independent ESG assessment platform that evaluates companies on environmental practices, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The rating reflects progress across Hempel’s sustainability framework, Futureproof.

“This is a fantastic recognition of how we are embedding ESG across every part of our business,” said Sofia Mavropoulou, vice president and head of sustainability at Hempel A/S. “Our customers rely on us to be a credible partner on their ESG journeys—and results like these prove that we are delivering on that trust.”

Initiatives contributing to the improved rating include a global parental leave policy and flexible work policy introduced in 2024, along with expanded ESG reporting in areas such as waste, water, and energy.

“This year’s results show that sustainability at Hempel is not just about ambition—it’s about real, measurable outcomes,” Mavropoulou added.
