Orion Publishes In-Depth Carbon Black Entry in Polymer Science Encyclopedia

Orion
Orion S.A. announced the publication of a new article on carbon black in the Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology Online, available through the Wiley Online Library. Authored by Orion scientists, the 104-page entry is currently the most comprehensive resource available on the subject.
The article explores the history, morphology, and production of carbon black and presents recent research on sustainability, rubber reinforcement, color properties, conductivity, and structural breakdown. The material remains vital to numerous industries, including coatings, textiles, automotive, and electronics.
“Many of the products we take for granted would not be possible without carbon black – one of the most ubiquitous materials in modern life,” said Natalia Scherbakoff, chief technology officer at Orion.
