AkzoNobel announced a $30 million investment to upgrade its powder coatings facilities in Reading, Pennsylvania; Warsaw, Indiana; Nashville, Tennessee; and Monterrey, Mexico. The enhancements include new extruders, thermoplastics, and bonding technology aimed at boosting manufacturing efficiency and broadening application capabilities.
The upgrades are designed to increase overall production capacity and improve the sustainability performance of AkzoNobel’s powder coatings portfolio. The move builds on recent investments at powder manufacturing sites in Como, Italy, and Bac Ninh, Vietnam, as part of the company’s broader growth strategy across Europe, Asia, and North America.
