Kansai Paint Co., Ltd. confirmed the completion of Kansai Helios’ acquisition of Weilburger Coatings GmbH and Weilburger Asia Ltd. on May 14, 2024. The acquisition, first announced in February, brings a historic coatings manufacturer into the Kansai Paint Group, expanding its capabilities across heat-resistant, non-stick, and rail coatings markets.

Weilburger, founded in 1900, operates seven production sites globally and employs approximately 600 people. The company reported estimated 2023 sales of €150 million.

This deal builds on Kansai Helios’ recent acquisitions of Wefa’s rail coatings assets, CWS Group, and Beckers’ rail business. With Weilburger’s addition, Kansai Paint aims to accelerate growth in B2B industrial segments and create synergies across its coatings portfolio.
