Arkema has received ISCC PLUS certification for its waterborne acrylic resins manufactured in St. Charles, Louisiana. The certification applies to a range of mass balance solutions that include resins with up to 90% bio-attributed content. This development supports more sustainable options for applications in coatings, adhesives, infrastructure, and mobility.
According to Neil Tariq, global business director for coating resins, the certification helps accelerate CO₂ emissions reduction and circularity across the value chain by substituting fossil feedstocks with renewable and recycled sources. The achievement expands Arkema’s network of certified sites and complements the company’s broader strategy to introduce bio-attributed specialty resins across its portfolio, including high solids, UV-LED-EB, and polyester powder materials.
