PPG highlighted its architectural metal coatings at the 2025 AIA Conference on Architecture and Design (AIA25), held June 4–7 in Boston. The company featured technologies designed for long-term durability, weather resistance and aesthetic versatility.
Among the coatings on display were PPG Coraflon® Platinum powder extrusion coatings and PPG Duranar® liquid coil and extrusion coatings, both formulated to meet FGIA/AAMA 2605 performance standards. Coraflon Platinum, an advanced FEVE-based powder coating, demonstrated high transfer efficiency and long-term color retention. New third-party testing showed only 6% color loss over five years, far exceeding comparable products.
PPG also showcased its Duranar liquid coatings, a PVDF-based system used in prominent architectural projects such as Allegiant Stadium and Hudson Yards. These coatings are available in a wide range of colors and effects, including energy-efficient and color-shifting finishes.
